Socialize your Professional Network!

Share "In a recent Yahoo! HotJobs poll, 57% of respondents said networking was a factor in landing their current or most recent job." Source

This is a strong statement, and a very true one at that! In today's economy, even with a college degree (or two) it can be difficult finding a job. One of the best ways of doing it is by expanding your professional network. It's important to keep in touch with those people that you meet at casual gatherings and such. Often times in small talk, you will find out what someone does for a living. You never know when they can offer a helping hand with finding a job.

One of the best ways of staying in touch is with social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. While these people may not be real friends that you see and chat with often, they can prove to be helpful when job searching. By socializing your professional network, you are far more likely to find a job, and also have a better chance at landing the job assuming you don't bomb your interview!
